NAMI Family-to-Family
Course On Thursday, Sept. 9, NAMI Mercer (National Alliance on Mental Illness) will begin its fall semester of Family-to-Family, a free, 12-week education course for adult family members of persons living with mental illness. The course covers the biology of brain disorders; diagnostic criteria for the major mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and borderline personality disorder. Classes will be held on 12 consecutive Thursday nights from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the NAMI Center of Mercer County, 3371 Brunswick Pike, Suite 124 (adjacent to Mercer Mall) in Lawrence Township. Although the education series is free, registration is required. Contact the NAMI office at 609.799.8994.
